Sponsor a Student

Our mission is to provide a quality education to children in Uganda, and St. Patrick Nursery & Primary School is fulfilling part of that mission.

Sponsorship provides your sponsored student:

  • a quality education
  • a safe place to live, with 24/7 supervision and security
  • clean water and 3 meals plus 2 snacks each day
  • all needed school supplies

To make a one-time or recurring online donation, please enter your information on our donation page.  All SECURE online donations are made through Cornerstone Payment Systems. You'll be prompted to set up a "personal account" along with a password for your additional security and access. 

There is a 3% processing fee for all online donations. You have the option to add 3% to your donation total, so that BHIK-U receives the full amount you wish to donate.

Donate Securities

This option can provide tax benefits for the donor and eliminate potential taxes on capital gains from appreciated stocks or mutual funds.  BHIK-U has the capability to receive these securities in an easy and convenient way.  This option provides a three-fold benefit:  

  • Donor gets a tax deduction for the full value of the security at time of transfer.
  • BHIK-U receives the full value as a gift.
  • Capital gains are simply eliminated.

Required Minimum Distributions (RMD’s)

When you direct your RMD to a charity, it becomes a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD, which is no longer considered taxable income. IRA owners who are at least 70½ may transfer as much as $100,000 directly to charity each year, tax-free.

This is an especially good use of your your RMD if you take the standard deduction and wouldn't be able to write off charitable donations.

Your Donation Can Be Multiplied!

Be sure to check with your employer to see if your donation qualifies for a matching gift from your employer! BHIK-U is a 501(c)(3) corporation. We qualify for matching donations from Caterpillar Inc, John Deere, State Farm, and others.

Bequests, or leaving money as part of your will or estate, are one of the easiest ways to give.  By including language in your will or trust, you can specify a monetary gift to Building Hope in Kids – Uganda as part of your estate plan.  Benefits:
