Founder's Corner
Dear benefactors, donors, sponsors and friends!
I bring you greetings from Uganda, St. Patrick School and from me. I pray that God continues to protect you all and keep you healthy.
Am glad to update you on the school progress as follows:
Our Primary Seven students did their national exams on March 30 and March 31. We are now waiting for the results from the National Examination Center.
Other classes continue to report in a staggered way to avoid overcrowding at school and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures to avoid contagion with Covid 19. We now have 4th to 6th grades. Primary One to Three will report on June 7th. The new academic year starts in August.
We continue with construction of the Auditorium. (See article on pg. 3) We have now embarked on the second level (first floor). If funds allow we hope that by end of June it will be on the roofing level. Allow me at this juncture thank all of you who have generously contributed as individuals or through matching gifts by Corporations and Foundations to their employees. May the good Lord bless you abundantly for your support. We still appeal for your generosity to be able to complete the Auditorium which will serve as our chapel and location for other big school assemblies and functions.
Am planning to visit the US in August if travel conditions are favorable at that time. I have already taken my first shot of Astra Zeneca vaccine and awaiting my second one later this month. Hopefully if my travel plans come to fruition I hope to again see some of you physically. Kindly pray for these travel plans to succeed.
At my Parish we are now operating almost normally. We have Masses as usual on Sundays but we wear masks and constantly sanitize ourselves. We thank God the Covid 19 cases have not been as hostile.
May the Lord continue to protect us and heal our world so that we can return to normalcy.
Wishing you God's choice blessings and assuring you of my continued prayers,
Fr. Julius Turyatoranwa (PhD)
